Why did Westcott and Hort fight to keep a Unitarian Ezra Abbot who denied the deity of Christ on the revision committee Who would greatly influence the changing of John 1:18, and other verses on the Deity of Christ?

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."1 John 4:1,3

These modern versions are [Bible attack deleted]..

I call. Show me a non-KJVO source that says Ezra Abbot is an Unitarian.

I'm really tired of one KJVO misreading a document followed by 1,000 sheep bleating the ignorance of the one who can read.

As far as I can tell "Unitarian" is found on the same page as "Ezra Abbot" in only 1,000 of 38,000 pages.

BTW, Ezra Abbot was a Layman, not a Clergyman.

How am I supposed to believe that one Unitarian (if it is so) can ruin a Bible while 50 Anglicans make it Perfect (KJV). Do baby sprinkling Anglicans do better than non-baptizing Unitarians in translating from Greek to English?

// These modern versions are not of God..//

All modern versions are of God. Your error Axiom causes your error conclusion -- this is an illogical statement.

I am not going to allow a thread to even start that begins by attacking Bibles.
