I read today that two of our past Prime Ministers, Lloyd George and James Callaghan were Baptists. I was wondering what other "famous Baptists" there might be lurking in the anals of history.

Famous preachers apart, do you know of any other Baptists who were influential in history, sport or culture? I know several US Presidents were Baptist, but not sure which ones.

Lloyd George was a Campbellite Baptist and attended a Church of Christ chapel.

Add John D. Rockefeller to your list.

Abraham Lincoln was raised a Baptist.
