Here is the random selection of the FFB lottery. If you are in the #1 spot, you get the first option of picking 1st, 6th, or anywhere in between in Round 1. Remember the order is reversed for ensuing rounds, so if you pick to draft in the 6th slot, you will also pick 7th (1st in Round 2). First overall pick picks last in round 2 (Selection 1 and 12).

    1. His Team
    2. Vast Right Wingers
    3. Mountain Dew Kids
    4. Rocky Top Reds
    5. Los Gatos Terribles
    6. Mama's Cubs

His Team, you're up. Pick your slot for Round 1. Then, in order, each team picks their slot.

I'm not afraid to go 1st.

Put me down for the 1st pick in the draft. And, let's not assume that you all know who I'm taking with the 1st pick. :wavey:

And the Mountain Dew Kids select ......

Ryan Freel with their first pick! :saint:

I will not be able to be at the draft as I have a funeral that morning. Good luck to everyone!

I would never take Ryan Freel first. I hear that Tomvols is going to take him first and I don't want to step on his pick.

I hope you pick him early, Tom, because I have a great joke I'm dying to use on draft day.

I wouldn't expect me to take him with just six teams drafting ;)

Maybe you should go ahead and deliver the punchline!

Here's the joke that I didn't get to use today because there weren't any questionable picks. Well, except for the Felipe Lopez pick in the 11th. :tongue3:

Let's say that somebody drafted Derek Jeter with their 2nd pick. I had Jeter going in the 5th round on my board. So, here's what I would have said in response to that pick.

"I must have blacked out. Is it the 5th round already?"

    Good one. :)

I wanted someone versatile in the mid inf who has a decent bat and good speed. But he would've been there later. I didn't mean to take him that early. I forget how the queue works sometimes!

I didn't know you picked him, and I know you didn't pick him in the 2nd round. Everybody, including the auto pickers, made solid picks in the draft. Not much chance for me to crack on anybody for their pick.

did anyone get josh hamilton for the rangers - he is tearing the cover off the ball in spring training - hitting about 600 with power. He has turned his life around, found Christ and the players on the Rangers are helping him to stay away from bad influences. If he stays healthy he has a chance for a monstor season in the temple in arlington

He was acquired last year by the Reds. The Reds gave him a chance and he proved himself, winning NL Rookie of the Month for May. Had injuries not hampered him, he could've had a great year. I was sad (so were many of my fellow Red Legs) to see him traded for Ednison Volquez.

Last year, the Reds published Hamilton's testimony in the team newsletter. They also sponsored a day at GABP with Hamilton sharing his testimony followed by music from Third Day. A great day, and a rare one in pro sports nowadays.

    I wish Hamilton well.

Why wasn't he drafted? Draft was too short and the field was too deep. Had we had 12 teams, no question Hamilton would've made a roster.
