I am curious what denomination is the fastest growing church in the area where you live.

Mine is the Baptist General Conference.

    Number-wise, SBC.
Doctrine-wise-none (Is a church that is 1 inch deep and 2 miles wide bigger than one that is 1 inch deep and amile wide?) [IMG] [IMG]

As reported in the Minneapolis Star/Tribune a few months ago:

Fastest growing in Minnesota is the Baptist General Conference. Second is the Assemblies of God.

In our area, it is still the LDS.

AOG here in Australia. Yet interestingly the mormons are claiming rapid growth also!

Mormons are big in this area as well (the highest number of Mormons east of the Rockies is in the Wash DC area, at least according to stats from a few years ago). They are building new churches (that is not the word they use) in the fast growing exburbs of DC.

Many mainline churches here are actually dying out so don't know any Christian or Baptist denominations that are growing in terms of a denomination. My church is growing and a few other evangelical churches are growing but it's not a denominational thing as they are all different denominations.

Dr. Bob, I was in Casper a few years ago and found a very large number of Neopagans there. I went into at least two places run by Wiccans/Neopagans. Don't know if they still exist or not, but they were preparing for a big Pagan gathering. My guess is that they are still there and growing.

I know the LDS is big there also as I was staying with some Baptist friends who do outreach to Mormons.
