Another thread about TV humor gave me the idea of this thread. Please list and rank your favorite British comedies. Here in America the list will be somewhat limited, since we don't have access to everything they have in the UK. Here's my list.

    1. Monty Python's Flying Circus
    2. Fawlty Towers
    3. Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister (Love this show.)
    4. Red Dwarf
    5. IT Crowd (Have you tried turning it off and on again?)
    6. Men Behaving Badly (endorsement for Stella Artois)
    7. Benny Hill (list is getting thinner now)
    8. Keeping up Appearances

Saw a couple of The Thick of It, which is kind of a modernized version of Yes, Minister, and while somewhat hilarious, the swearing put me off to the show. I can't believe they can use language like that on a government subsidized TV show.

Yes, I have seen a few of them. Inconsistent, but when it was funny, it was hilarious.

I loved the Monty Python team, and of course Fawlty Towers. Pity not to see anyone nominating my cousin's work.
