    I like Ferrar Fentons Holy Bible in Modern English. That one is great if you can hunt one down. Turn to Gen 1 & start reading also check out Romans, Heb & Ephesians.
    Also lately I've been reading a lot out of the Phillipps as well. I like it MUCH better than the NIV & think they are comparable.
    I HAVE to get an ESV. I have the book of Hebrews on CD ESV & it is really good.
    I also recently got a Weymouths but have not gotten a chance to read more than a few chapters. I'm off today so I'l dig in.
    My STUDY bible will be a Thompson in NKJV which will be a gift for my wife. I love the NKJV.

    I also forgot to mention for NT I enjoy Worrells a LOT as well.
