Many parables, earthly stories with heavenly meanings, of our lord, Jesus Christ, are recorded in the Gospel. Which one is the most meaningful to you?

    I'LL START:

"Lord, be merciful to me, a sinner". I can relate to the publican, although there are lots of days the pharisee still comes out.

I should say my favorite Commandment is "Thou shalt not steal". Dr. B, you stole mine. [IMG]

Even worse, I've been his brother. Though, I never actually went out and ate with the swine. Ewwwwww.

    Matthew 7:1-5

Many is the time I have caught myself contemplating the speck in someone else's eye only to learn that I had the same one in my eye; only mine was a hundred times as large.

    The Prodigal Son.

I have been the prodigal son (I have been backslidden).

I have been his brother (I have been selfish and envious).

I have been his father (I have waited patiently for my child to come home).

The parable of the unforgiving student - not because it is my favorite to read, but because it challenges me so much.
