    Thayrone X

"Tenaciously independent, On The Edge with Thayrone flies in the face of both boring blue-coat-white-shirt-red-tie conservative AND white wine sipping, crustless sandwich eating liberal talk radio. This show offers a strong conservative message in a hip and indisputably interesting user-friendly way others do not. I know the difference between right and wrong and know that morality isn't relative. That all comes glaringly through on my talk radio show."

Here are my favorite talk show hosts:

    1. Thom Hartmann, Host of The Thom Hartmann Program, a nationally syndicated program which is the tenth most important talk radio show in the country and the top progressive show in the country. Mr. Hartmann is also a socialist.

    2. Clark Howard, Host of The Clark Howard Show, a nationally syndicated program about personal finance.

    3. Andy Johnson, Host of Down to Business Andy Johnson, a daily local show about local and national issues. Mr. Johnson owns our local liberal talk station, WJSJ.

There are also some others I like, but those are my top three. My area's liberal talk radio station has run into trouble. Andy Johnson owns the station, but he doesn't own the station. He leases the station, but now he doesn't have enough money. He said he regrets ever signing the deal with WJSJ because it's not affordable and that the owners refuse to lease the station for fair market value. However, he has reached an interim deal until he makes other arrangements with WJSJ or another station. Mr. Johnson is temporarily leasing 3-7PM weekdays for the local shows and is not running the national shows at this time. The station owners run '80s music at all other times. Mr. Johnson has to fit his own daily show and all of the weekly shows in a four hour chunk each day. Even the weekend shows had to be moved to weekdays for now.

It isn't just your local area - it's a nation wide phenomenon and has been for years and years.

    Liberalism doesn't sell.

    Remember Air America?

During its first five years in operation, Fox News lost more money per year than Air America did in its entire time of operation.

I could only find far left blogs like Huffington Post and Media Matters that gives any such figure. And then it was only in the comments sections.

    1. Glenn Beck - Although I usually hit the fast forward button anytime he starts to talk about religion and his constant shilling of products is starting to get on my nerves, I love the fact that he gives you links instantly to the stories they talk about so that you can look them up for yourself. TheFFourth Hour is also good, but they pretty much just recap whatever they talked about the first three hours.

    2. Kevin Swanson - He gets repetitive sometimes, but I still like him.

    3. Jack Spriko - I don't always agree with him, but I've never heard a show that didn't cause me to think about the issues

    4. Freedom Watch with Andrew Napolitano - The only reason I ranked this one number four is because they discontinued the podcast.

Anymore the only political show I listen to on a regular basis is Rush. Listen to Dave Ramsey frequently too, but it seems to be the same thing over and over, how many ways can you tell somebody to get out of debt?

Used to listen to Hannity, but for some reason over the past few months I can't stand to hear him anymore, he seems to whine alot. Used to listen to Beck alot, but the past few years of continuous doom and gloom from him just gets me depressed. Sometimes listen to Savage on the drive home if I've worked later. Overall, I've slowed down on my talk radio in the past year, which is a good thing, I've got enough to worry about as it is. Lately for me, ignorance is bliss, and I'd rather listen to a local AM Classic Country Station or oldies station.
