Wally Langford?? Is he the one who left Texas to come to Ga? I think now he's gone back to Texas.

Aren't Otwell and Langford both from the same church?

Dr. Adrian Rogers…… Who certainly needs no introduction….

Pastor Henry Mahan - Thirteenth Street Baptist church…. In all of his preaching, I have yet to find fault with his teaching… not to say that I won’t, but I’ve listened to, and read this man’s work for a lot of years…. http://sovereign-grace.com/13thstbap.htm

Boyd Bengham – Bengham town Baptist Church….. A fiery young preacher of the word of God… His precious Dad, Boyd Senior, who is one of the humblest men that God ever created, tutored him in the gospel of Christ.

Those that are dead, but their words live on as strong as ever…..

    C. H. Spurgeon….. Late at night, via real audio…. My wife and I sometimes will listen to C. H. Spurgeon… BTW, my all time favorite preacher…..

Last, but certainly not least….. Dr. M. R. DEHAAN…… I have learned so many things from this man…..

Not to discount any other men, so many I have not heard, who diligently bring us the bread of life…. “How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things”….

You certainly can pick your own pastor - my prohibition was that you - if you are a pastor - cannot pick yourself. Sorry for the confusion - I guess that I don't always make myself clear - or if I am clear - it's probably as clear as mud!!

    In no particular order...

    1. Gib Wood, my Pastor at Rheinland Baptist Church
    in Landstuhl, Germany

    2. Foster Covington, my pastor in Alconbury, England when I was stationed there.

    3. Chuck Sligh, My pastor when I was stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Note: Still looking for an Independent Baptist church here in Chattanooga (moved here just recently).

He's not a Baptist but I'd rather enjoy the teachings of
    STEVE BROWN
    Than anyone else.

John McArthur is a distent second

BTW: I sort of resent the comment that your own pastor should be #1 or there's something wrong with you. It's not like I can pick up and move to Orlando and enroll in RTS in order to carry out the desire.

I love my pastor, and of those who are reasonably within comuting distance, he my favorite (well, tied with my former pastor) but it's perfectly alright, IMO, to enjoy a media minister more yet not be physically able to attend that ministers congregation.

Hi guys, My pastor, Brother Rick Atkins of New Providence Missionary Baptist Church of Tellico Plains, TN is certainly a top pick! Other living favorites would definately include Adrian Rogers, Erwin Lutzer, and David Jeremiah. Those of the past would definately include Spurgeon, and D.L. Moody! In Christ, WT

He is a Baptist minister. Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles I couldn't remember the name of his church so I did a search on the net. The first thing I read is that he died as a result of pneumonia. I will check further to see if it is true. Although he used to preach on TBN and I don't watch it anymore that may explain why you haven't seen him.

    Major B,

Yes, I have met Roy Grigsby. He is now in one of the Carolinas I believe. Gib Wood took over the church in either 90 or 91 (can't remember which).
Gib Wood was actually a member of Rheinland (got saved there) in the late 70's and early 80's.

By the way, Rheinland also moved into a beautiful new building right next to the school building they have.

In 1985 -1988 I was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Wiesbaden and we had numerous occasions to fellowship with Rheinland playing each other in football and basketball.

    John Piper (Bethlehem Baptist)
    John MacArthur (Grace Community Church)
    Allister Begg (Parkside Church)
James Kennedy (Coral Ridge Presbyterian - PCA)
Skip Ryan (Park Cities Presbyterian - PCA)
R.C. Sproul (St. Andrews Chapel - PCA)
    R.C. Sproul, Jr.

I have to admit, I could not think of any that are pastors of a church with "Baptist" in the name.
