I'm an olympic buff...I love everything but...

Doubles luge. That just looks wrong, man.

Men's figure skating. Too much "lace in the drawers."

Short track speed skating... who will forget the memorable win of Steve Bradbury in the last olympics,.. ;) Showed how to do it..... He was Australia's first winter Olympic Gold Medal winner.

    Regards
    Bob

I voted for curling. A sport which any country can develop. While a great deal of skill is involved, there are no great equipment, venue, or personnel requirements. In other words, a country doesn't need the best skis, mountains, snow, or good sized defensemen to compete in curling.

That's what I thought ... until Elvis Stoiko. Nothing girly about his skating!!!

Still, I'm not an ice skating fan. The Skeleton, otoh, now we're talking!!!!

Hockey first, but i do enjoy the speed skating and Alpine skiing events, as well as the sledding events.
Although i think i can get used to the snowboard cross...lots of action.

I think they ought to have a snow shoveling event. After all thousands have to do that every year.

I've been enjoying watching the curling.
Have never seen so much coverage of it, either. Usually just a few seconds here and there.

I've been watching the Snow Board Cross Country racing. To me its the closest the Olympics can get to NASCAR. Four racers on the course at the same time, no "clock", just first man/woman to the bottom (or as is the case for the prelims the first two).

Don't watch the winter games as much as I watch the summer games. Here in south texas we don't see much snow.

Well, I don't know about that, Carolyn...did you catch some of those ice dancers??!!

I love the figure skating, luge, bobsled, and speed skating. Don't know how those speed skaters stay on their feet around the curves!!

I can't handle the curling...too much action and suspense!! :D

Pamelak - yeah, you're right about the skaters. Curling - yeah, too much suspense! I'm suspended right into the couch and must have water thrown on me to wake up. [IMG]
