    The point that you are straining to make in this thread is simply not supported by this article. The article says nothing about this college student working with the Democratic Party in this. He happens to be the son of a state Democratic representative. If this had been the son of a Baptist preacher, say Charles Stanley, would you claim that the SBC was hacking into Palin's email?

    Sorry, Charlie but this one (like many others) just doesn't hold water.

    The facts haven't stopped the anti-Obama forces from making silly claims up to now. I don't expect them to stop before November 4.

    Kidding? If the son of Charles Stanley had been caught hacking into Joe Biden's email there would have been a firestorm, along the lines of "Ultra-conservative Baptists caught in dirty tricks!"

    In fact we'd probably see people on this board claiming that the Baptist Convention should be turned over to Jimmy Carter's allies, or some such.

    Amen. The kid has hired a lawyer and his Democratic father has publically distanced himself from the whole deal. How slick.

    I didn't start a firestorm, nor am I anti-Obama, though I will not be supporting him in the General (I have not chosen a candidate). I was reporting a story that has grown some legs lately here locally. Sorry...I'm not a KoolAid drinker, and I know that irks the Obamanistas/McCainites, but I call it like I see it. For my independence, I catch plenty of lightning. So be it.

    The difference between this and the earlier story is that the FBI has now been to the kid's apartment on more than one occasion, seized computer records/property, and now the dad is involved more so than before. If a person living 20 minutes from me hacked Obama's PC and had ties to the GOP, I'd report the same thing. I reported the church shooting a few miles down the road and the school shootings that happened one mile from my house and the one recently a little further away. More to the politics, I've commented re: Cohen, Corker, and Ford.

    I can't help that this is news, nor can I help that the man and the son are active in Dem politics and in the Obama campaign. The latest word is that there was no indictment today, but the investigation is continuing.
