While Hillary Clinton served as US Secretary of State, her deputy pushed for the FBI to change the classification of emails from her private server, newly exposed FBI documents reveal. According to an anonymous source who is quoted within the documents, the sent emails were categorized as classified creating further complications for Clinton.

The documents uncover that Patrick Kennedy, who served as the US Deputy Secretary of State during Clinton’s term, contacted the FBI in an attempt to change the emails’ classification. As per the report, Kennedy then stated that the request will be followed through as a quid pro quo.
