This is a very inspriing story. Three days before Christmas, someone went on Craigslist to ask for volunteers to help them feed the homeless. Lots of people showed up with food, and many were fed in a downtown Austin, Texas parking lot.

Not my purpose to put a damper on the Christmas dinner. But, my desire would be to give permanent assistance to those in need. Not just one dinner one day a year.

Organizations such as Union (Rescue) Missions provide these services throughout the year, assisting men to once again become a productive part of society. In addition, they are Christian organizations who not only provide physical needs but more importantly spiritual needs.

Of course, this is true. And the person who did it mentioned they plan on doing more of this year round. Still it doesn't negate that this was a good thing.

True, but in the absence of a permanent solution one meal was sure appreciated.
