Did them myself at TaxAct online services
    They even offered FAFSA help.

Between federal and local taxes this year I'm a couple thousand dollars the poorer. Ouch!

I have used taxact in the past, but by far this year, I have used Taxslayer for myself and a lot of others.

If I was single I would give away my assets and then quit filing but The Wife worries about such things.

I prepared my returns about a month ago...

I decided to wait until the last minute to write the check though.

    I won't mail it until April 14.

Obama's weekly pizza money "middle class tax cut" didn't even make a dent.

If I owed, I would wait until the very end to mail it in too.

Just finished e-filing tonight through TaxAct online. I checked purchasing a package on the poll but guess that's not the same thing now that I think about it. When refund arrives it will sit in savings!

That is the hope, but it is usually the good painter's house that looks the worst!

Will do Turbo Tax next weekend, and then hold the check (it should be quite small this year) until April 15th.

I always let my dad (who is H&R Block trained) do my taxes. He buys the software and does mines, theirs, and a few other relatives.

I ALWAYS owe! I have never gotten a refund in all my years of filing taxes. This year, I owe $2,152!! I could just throw up!

I have a small retirement check from the state (small because I only worked for them for 22 years), a SMALL salary from the church (less than $8,000), and a small salary from my Christian school.

Unfortunately, all of these small amounts of money added together just push me up into a tax bracket that I cannot afford.

    C'est la vie.

But.....as a single woman, I have money coming in and money saved for my future. God is good and I thank Him for it - even as I write out check to Uncle Sam.

My wife has the audacity to be self-employed. As a result, the government financially penalizes her for her efforts. Therefore, we haven't had a tax refund since we were married.

We wait until the last day to mail the check.
