    CNSNews.com) - In the 1,461 days that Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) served as speaker of the House, the national debt increased by a total of $5.343 trillion ($5,343,452,800,321.37) or $3.66 billion per day ($3.657,394,113.84), according to official debt numbers published by the
    U.S. Treasury.

    Pelosi was the 52nd speaker of the House. During her tenure, she amassed more debt than the first 49 speakers combined.

    $3.66 billion/day????????? Thats ---- thats------ thats---almost as much as my wife spends!!!!:laugh::laugh::laugh:

    Bill, stop it!!! I'm agreeing with you too much:smilewinkgrin:

    Remember, Nancy did not spend it, it also took the Senate and the President. She may have been part of the problem - but not the entire problem.
    Me thinks its good that one Party does not control the full Congress and the White House

    and as far as spending more than the first 40 some speakers - is that 2010 dollars? You did take into account inflation didn't you

    Good point.

    It would have been even more if she had gotten her way on everything. She got what she wanted far too often as it is.
