    Thank you for bringing up the latest rant from Rush "I can't serve in Vietnam because I have a pimple on my rear" Limbaugh.

    Why is a mormon head of the Senate Democrats?

    It is time for the Democrats to get rid of Senator Reid as majority leader in the US Senate. It is an international shame that a full-blown cultist holds such a high-ranking job and this latest display of confusion on the part of Senator Reid just proves that his thinking is clouded and emotional. He really should let the media be free and worry more about George Soros.

    Thanks, Hillclimber, for bringing this to our attention!

    Cultist? There is no religious test for public office, so no issue there.

    I believe if Congress censured MoveOn.org for the Betray Us ad, they need to also censure Limbaugh for his comments calling soldiers who speak out against the war as "phony soldiers". This from someone who never wore the uniform of his nation, denigrating brave American warriors. Shameful.

    Yes, there is an issue here.

    Limbaugh was 4-F so I don't see an issue there about his never having worn a uniform.

    Reid cannot tell the difference between George Soros, Democrat activist with an organization, and the media. Soros has a billion dollars and can spend millions on the Democrats and he called an American general in combat a traitor.

    And it is time to break the power lock that the Mormon church has on American government. That means that Reid should be put in a back bench where a person of his petty mind belongs and that Romney should be sent back to Utah, Inc.

    So that buys him a pass to run down those who DO bravely serve?

    And Limbaugh calls brave American soldiers "phony soldiers" for them not towing the line to his opinions.

    Power lock? Get real! What is the percentage of Mormons in Congress? Not very high. Where is this "power lock" of which you speak?

    MP, you should take the Mormons seriously.

    The Mormons are very rich and powerful and have been since at least 1952 when Ezra Taft Benson became Secretary of Agriculture (he was later President and prophet of the LDS).

    There have been Mormon attempts at the White House from both parties: George Romney and now his relative Mitt Romney; the Udalls on the Democrat side. Now a Mormon is chief Senate Democrat leader and Hatch has great influence on the GOP side. Mormon power stems from their immense wealth.

    I thought it was the Jews that had the power in our government? Or was it the Catholics? Hmm, maybe it was the atheists?

    I'm confused. :confused:

    So, are Baptists the only poor people left in America?

    Shoot, our churches ought to be over-flowing, and we ought to be winning every election, then.

    IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OCTOBER 1, 2007

    Mr. KINGSTON submitted the following resolution

    Honoring all Americans serving in the Armed Forces of the United States and commending broadcaster Rush Limbaugh for his relentless efforts to build and maintain troop morale through worldwide radio broadcasts and personal visits to conflict regions.

    Whereas the need to show support for American troops serving and fighting both here and abroad during a time of global conflict has never been greater, with the need to communicate an uplifting message of encouragement to American soldiers eternally important, in addition to the morale-boosting value of personal visits to combat region by highly-regarded individuals;

    Whereas every American, to include service men and women and broadcasters, is entitled to free speech and the free exchange of ideas; Whereas daily radio broadcasts reaching tens of millions of civilians and soldiers both in America and abroad by way of the Armed Forces Radio Network are conducted five days a week by Rush Hudson Limbaugh III;

    Whereas Mr. Limbaugh has consistently used his broadcast time to praise American troops and support them during their ongoing efforts to secure peace in a troubled world;

    Whereas Mr. Limbaugh has met with troops in Afghanistan; raised and donated millions of dollars to the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, which provides college scholarships to the children of Marines and veterans of other branches killed in action; features an “Adopt a Soldier” program which provides them with free subscription access to his online program features; and Whereas Mr. Limbaugh’s commitment to American troops serving both here and abroad remains as strong as ever: Now, therefore, be it Resolved by the House of Representatives, Section 1. The House of Representatives makes the following findings:

    I wrote my congressman and urged him to support the Kingston resolution, I hope many of you will do the same.

    Rush is a faithful supporter of our solidiers and sailors regardless of their political views. He gives everyone equal say on his show. Those who smear him have never listened to him or read more than breif quotations.

    You know I am a former soldier and an Iraq veteran. That gives me some credibility when it comes my knowledge of the military and Iraq but gives me no more or no less right to free speech.

    Thanks, from all of us, even the ones who don't recognize what you and all our other soldiers collectively do. I'm pretty sure they would not be able to criticize something, as they do, were they in an Iran or in an Iraq, were it still under the dictatorship of Sad'm (or is that Sadism) & Sons, Inc.

    Just noticed that Jesse MacBeth received the privilege of a different sort of
    'tour of duty' that will be about 3 1/2 times longer than his 40 some days
    in Basic. And He'll receive a three year 'reseve' tour after that.

    Even that paragon of altered information, wikipedia, totally debunks the story of this fraud!

    I generally do not like Rush Limbaugh, not because of his positions, but because of his self worship. However, in this case, the Congress should pass this resolution. His support for the troops has nothing to do with his personal habits. At least the Congress can accomplish one constructive thing this year.

    Don't buy the "Mediamatters" spin. He said the media would rather listen to phony soldiers than the ones who actually went to Iraq. I paraphrased, but that's what he said, I heard the original broadcast.

    The idea that he doesn't support the troops is just silly.

    George Soros via Media Matters is on a current campaign to quiet conservatives. I am quite sure that this is just the begining. And the dumocratic representatives are walking in lock step with their marching orders from Soros. They are bought and paid for by him and these attacks are just Soros pulling their strings like the puppets they are.

    I wonder why the dinosaur media won't talk with these guys ? They keep falling for the MacBeths.

    Another point, I believe 90% of the people who have served like Rush, and feel he's on our side. I also believe 90% of those who hate him never served.
