If you want to attract flies, use a little honey. I love the beauty and the sweetness in the eloquence and pure literal perfection of our KJHB. Don't you?

Winston Churchill called our KJHB a masterpiece and a work of art. And Mr. Churchill is more popular and accomplished as a real leader than westcott and hort! I wonder what he might have said concerning the mv's? Cheap imperfections? Works of an imposter? Maligned and misguided in the realm of truth?

Anybody got the infamous website that records his words? Please post.

What is the KJHB? Is it in any way related to the AV1611?

I'm assuming the KJ = King James. But never saw HB.

Dr. Bob, I borrowed that from Will J. Kinney, he called the King James the "King James Holy Bible" and I think it rather fits. You got any info on Churchill and his leanings, I have seen a couple ot times how he remarked to the positive on the "KJHB", but not so well on the part of other versions?

When you get an answer from Churchill, let us know. I've been asking him about Gallipoli and his time as chancellor of the exchequer for many years, and I can't get an answer.

Unfortunately, Winnie never had the chance to read the ESV.

Do you really want to get into Churchill's expertise on religion?

Did you know that Churchill called King James (not the version) morally depraved?

I love the way you people promote yourselves.

Did you know King James only appointed the 50+ men to do the work and your allusions to King James are only propigating the gossip about the monarchs of Great Britain?

O.K., so you people have an ought against King James, even "Winnie", so let's just call the AV 1611 The Holy Bible and get over it. [IMG]
I suppose you could go ask the witch of Endor?
Got any credible resource or just "hearesy"? Did you know westcott and hort didn't believe the Bible? :D

Got any credible resource or just "hearesy"?

2 Peter 2:10-12, were you to comply with it,
IMHO, you would have written "Westcott and Hort".
For even if they are now frying in the hotest part of
Hell, they were your fellow human beans and
    sinners, just like you.

Also, the creditable evidence i've studied indicates
i should call them both Brothers in Christ. So please
don't defame Brother Westcott and Brother Hort on
my bb any more. I use "my bb" like I use "my salvation",
that is it doesn't BELONG to me, but it pertains to me.

QuickeningSpirit: " ... let's just call the AV 1611 The Holy Bible and get over it ... "

YOu still fail to denote which of the three DIFFERENT books
i have on my computer desk which you are calling
the "AV 1611 The Holy Bible". Your reputation is shot
because you fail to answer this simple question. My reputation
is shot cause i keep gessing and fail 66.6% of the time [IMG]

I suppose "dignity" is in the eyes of the beholder.

If w/h believed the Bible they wouldn't have spent such ill-directed energies to re-translate the MSS, and only the Greek, to dispute that which is already proven tried and true. Their maliciousness is identified in their re-inventing the methods they alone used to re-define.

Sorry, the cliche' is "Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder". There is NOTHING beautiful about the mv's, unless you think britney or madonna are worth kissing, I do not. :D

Actually, from a mathematician's point of view, it would be correctly read "66.7%" due to the infinite 66.666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666
and then on%. But then some mv supporter will come up with a new theology applied to mathemtaics to re-write the entire mode of practice of trigonometry, calculous, and algebra.

Cranston, who do you borrow from? The KJB translators didn't borrow, they cashed in !

Of course you borrow against the national debt, thereby increasing that debt to an astronomical high and never coming to and end, just to end in the failure of the financial institutions and the demise of the nation?

Uh, w/h ring a bell? wonder how much of their "technique" YOU borrowed?

Atr least I've got enough sense to borrow from people who stand for something instead of wiggle around all the time. :D "Thou worm, Jacob" ;)

And, increasingly, QS is going further and further out on a limb and has less and less to say. Anyone care to illustrate the (I counted three) gross errors in his paragraph here?

Yes QS, its all that and much more.

Many have publicly and directly borne false witness against some of us by accusing us hating the Word of God, The King James Holy Bible.

I believe everyone here at the BB would agree to most of what you and WC (alleged) have said concerning the KJHB.

The King James Holy Bible the Word of God is precious to all of us and has made an indelible impression on each of us personally and on the history of the world, mightily used of God.

Many of us are also awestruck at the person and humility of the Virgin Mary, mightily used of God to be the human mother of the Savior of the world.

But we don't ascribe to her attributes not found in the Scripture neither do we worship (hyper-dulia) her as do the members of the Church of Rome.

The Church of Rome who also erred in that they have said that the Latin Vulgate (with Apocrypha) was the Only Authorised Word of God superior even to the Greek and Hebrew (because they said so).
