FIRE and free speech

    Nope -- not talking about yelling "fire" in a theater or about porno using 'free speech' to hide behind. We're talking about speech codes on campuses and one organization's efforts to stop this nonsense. I just found out about this group and this website this morning. I can't help but think She Eagle and several others here will be very interested in stuff that is going on to silence both basic common sense and diversity of opinions (read that is 'the presentation of the conservative point of view))

    Thanks for posting this, Helen. Just saw it. I admire those students who are trying to stand up for their Freedom of Speech Rights!

    There is another group that keeps track of things going on in our universities, too, that you may have not heard about. Freedom of speech & common sense seemingly have given way to the political correctness of the hour.

    Parents might want to do some serious checking before packing up their kids to go to some of these schools where liberal indoctrination will prevail. The old socialists of the 1960s never died, they just infiltrated our educational institutions.
