I figured I'd post this here instead of continuing to whine about it.

I use the Firefox extensions BBCodeXtra ans SmileyXtra quite extensively (I haven't used the advanced reply option in a year or so). But neither one works with the new vB.

I post extensively on a computer help board that is running 2.4 or 2.8 (I forget which one for sure... I'm leaning toward 2.4). Anyway, the extensions work fine there, and they used to work fine on the old software here.

Don't get me wrong, I like the upgrade. It's gonna take time to get used to it, but I like it. I just wish I could use my trusty old right-click options here once again.

    Got any ideas?

Oh well. I guess I'm the only one.

Which version of Firefox are you using? Ron and I are both using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4

The "copy/paste" (right click) does not work with this vB--it will work when I click on that little square in the right corner of the "Quick Reply" window--the text box turns white and I can right click and get the copy paste--otherwise I need to use the "Edit" menu and paste from there.-- Also, Firefox will shut down if I try and paste too much text from the "Edit" menu. I have this problem on one other forum board that uses vB.

Firefox 1.5.0.4, which is the latest. The extensions are all updated as well.

    I got it.

I went into User CP, Edit Options. Under the heading Message Editor Interface, "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing" was set. I changed it to "Basic Editor - A simple text box" and my stuff started working again.

    Wahoo!!!
