Last night my wife and I attended a pre-opening showing of the movie "Fireproof." It opens in theaters on Sept. 26. It is produced by the church in Georgia that produced "Facing the Giants."

If you have an opportunity to see it, you won't regret seeing it.

My wife's sister teaches in the Christian school there in Albany and she says it is as good as FTG if not better. Her FIL is a fireman in Albany and an extra in the movie.

Can you please tell me what the movie is about? Does it have a religious theme? Something like Narnia, which almost every Christian thinks was a Christian movie (yuk).

I have seen the trailer and plan on buying it first chance I get. I worked for a firm that had a location in Albany and met several cast members from FTG and other members of Sherwood Baptist church. I was very impressed and meeting them and hearing their testimony made me enjoy the movie even more.

It was a very good movie with an excellent message. Glad to say it came in at #3 over the weekend despite only showing on about 850 screens nationwide. Hollywood take notice. Movie was produced by a church in Georgia for a cost of about $150,000. Kirk Cameron donated all his time and was the only proffesional actor in the movie. Go see it---you won't regret it.:godisgood:

Great movie. Wonderful message. Some of the acting is not quite professional but it doesn't detract from the message or the quality of the movie.

Of course I may me a little biased. I spent 20 years as a volunteer firefighter.

According to Way of the Master radio some movie houses listed it a R when it is in fact rated PG.
If you decide to see it and get scared by the rating presented, just be aware it was the mananger/owners call to list it R rated because it contained 'Christian stuff'.

"Those devious Christians trying to sneak 'God Stuff' into our house???? Not on my watch".... I believe more and more everyday Secularism really is a religion.

My wife and i saw it a couple of weeks ago with our worship leader and his wife...and we LOVED IT! Like the previous movies the acting is OK at best with the exception of Kirk Cameron and the other professional actors, but still well worth watching. Not only is it a challenge to you about your marriage but the evangelistic message in is is very clear.
If you don't get to see it in the theater make sure you get the DVD and show it to whom ever you can. I plan on making it a movie night on our church projection system as soon as i can.
