Libertarians should be working on known issues, not things that "MAY" be.

I like you enough, poncho, but you and other's constantly harping on conspiracy theories and paranoid rabbit trails are big reasons the Libertarians are have trouble getting traction. We have enough REAL issues to discuss. We don't need this.

Okay so we should just react in a given manner every time we see some video of an alleged execution or "bad guy terrorist" or read another unfounded allegation in the newspaper or on tv instead of questioning it instead and asking for proof?

    So we're reactionaries now?

Let's not ask questions or seek the truth lets just react to the stimulus being presented because it seems like the most rational "patriotic", easiest thing to do?

    Is that what you're saying?

How have I reacted ? I have not advocated any action. I have asked, if American interests are at stake, let's see Team Zero prove it and THEN ask for a declaration of war.

    You're the one reacting.

You reacted by telling me we shouldn't question the veracity of this video. Even thought there are experts saying this video might have been staged.

I never said you advocated any action. I asked if you were advocating being reactionary instead of thoughtful. That's why I put question marks at the end of the sentences.

And yes, I reacted by saying wait a minute, before we rush off to another war over this video let's find out if it's real or not. There are some experts who believe it isn't.

Why did I react that way? Because the government and media have been caught spreading so many lies and half truths now that any normal person would question their every word.

Okay so I'm bad for questioning entities that have lied their behinds off before.

    I can live with that.

And I am not a libertarian. I agree with some of their ideas and disagree with others. Just because I'm against all these failed interventions and nation building experiments doesn't mean I'm a libertarian. It means I still hold to the principles this nation was founded on and I still hold to the old (paleo) conservative idea of limited constitutional government.

Sheesh, I ask why people believe this video is real and I get treated like a leper? Even though none of the people I asked can explain why they believe it's real or not? One of those people even admitted they haven't watched the video themselves, but tells me I'm nuts for questioning it??? On top of that there are people in this thread who I have asked to provide evidence to back up their claims and their "reaction" was to tell me how disappointed in me they are for asking them to provide evidence to back their allegations!

So, now I'm the bad guy for for asking for evidence too!

Am I even living in America anymore, or is this the twilight zone?

Yes, you are being treated like a leper.

I'm not going to watch the video. I watched some others, back when this first started happening.

I don't want America there. I've voted for believable politicians who promise to end the war since it began. But I'm not going to deny there are some very bad dudes operating in Absurdistan. And yeah, I know, we empowered them, we inspired them, etc….

Yeah indeed I committed the unforgivable sin. I asked people making a bunch of allegations to prove them. These guys think nothing of accusing others of posting unfounded allegations but when they get caught doing the very same they turn on you like well, a bunch of hypocrites.

We should change the motto of this Board. To "the truth is the last thing we want to know".

Am I to believe that the purpose of this thread is to prove that the beheading video was not staged? Is that it?

Am I to believe you are reading my posts after you said you weren't going to read them anymore?

That didn't last near as long as I was hoping it would.

Incidentally, the same people who pushed the idea that the murders in Benghazi were caused by an "anti-muslim" video (Obama administration and the mainstream media) are using this video as a pretext to go to war and drop bombs on those in Iraq that they (Obama administration and the mainstream media) has been aiding and abetting with funding, weapons and the "rational reasons" (see MSM coverage) for it in Libya and Syria.

But no there's nothing odd about any of this at all! It's all normal, the people who lied to us about the other video wouldn't lie to us about this video Poncho . . . and if you think they would yer nuts! :tongue3:

The footage was most likely edited later using "slick post-production techniques", according to the analysis for The Times in London by an unnamed international forensic science company that has worked for police forces across Britain, the news organisation claimed.

There was also no blood on Foley's neck as the masked militant appeared to draw a knife across his neck.

The analysis suggested that the militant, who speaks with a London accent and is believed to be British rapper Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, may have been a frontman for the execution, and not necessarily the killer.

"I think it has been staged," one of the forensic experts told the news organisation.
