    For you early risers, there's a unique lunar eclipse this morning starting now (at least on the east coast).

    At dawn the moon will be eclipsed and you will be able to see the sunrise as well.

    Yeah, the clouds were scattered where I live.

    I could see the moon clearly but the sunrise was late due to the clouds.

    Yes but the stars were beautiful ....when you could see them.

    Always up early. Went out this morning to see the blood moon. Frankly it was much more pink than blood red. But I happy I saw it, an interesting event.

    I go to work at 6am everyday, and I got to watch most of the event on my drive in to the office. Apparently everyone else was watching it too, because traffic was much slower than usual...

    A lovely relative called feeling silly because she had read about it, but didn't realize what it was when she saw it and said to herself "Too bad the moon phases are going so fast, that was a beautiful full moon earlier. This isn't how we learned it works in astronomy class."
    She realized her mistake a bit later.
    We had a good laugh about that! I have a feeling we'll be joking for a long time about those super fast moon phases!
