Ford To Sponsor Homosexual 'Marriage' at Motor City Pride Event

    Dear Danny,

Showing contempt for the concerns of traditional families, Ford has agreed to sponsor the "Family Area" at the Motor City Pride Event June 2-4 which will feature a homosexual marriage "commitment ceremony." The purpose of the ceremony is to "make a political statement."

According to the Motor City Pride website, "Metropolitan Community (homosexual) Church of Detroit and Triangle Foundation are looking for Same-Gender couples willing to make a political statement by celebrating their love in a commitment ceremony to be held in the City of Ferdale on June 4, 2006."

When one clicks on the "Family" section of the website, the caption reads: "The Family Area (which includes the 'marriage' ceremony) is Generously Sponsored by: Ford Motor Company Fund." Ford Motor Company Fund gets its funding from Ford Motor Company. Click here to see the Ford sponsorship. To see the Committment Ceremony page, click here.

Since the boycott began, Ford stock has fallen 7% and Associated Press stated that Ford sales were down 5% in March. Many financial consultants believe that Ford is headed for bankruptcy.

It appears that Ford is more willing to face bankruptcy than ending their support of homosexual groups and causes.

    Take Action

Please sign the Boycott Ford Pledge by clicking the link below.

Call your local dealer and ask why Ford is sponsoring this "marriage ceremony." Click here to find the phone number and email address of your Ford Motor Company dealers (Click on Ford, Jaugar, Land Rover, Mazda, Lincoln, Mercury, Volvo icons at the top of the page).

Please forward this to your family and friends to let them know of Ford's commitment to homosexual marriage.

You might also want to forward this to the Ford dealers in your area.
More than 20 pro-family groups have called for a boycott of Ford. To learn more of Ford's promotion of homosexual marriage, visit BoycottFord.com.

I understand that many Christians rightly are upset when large coporations espouse the homosexual adgenda, but I think that responding with boycotts all the time is not the best response.

Why get bet out of shape when wicked, depraved sinners act like the sinners they are? Sin should be repulsive to the Christian, but why try to make the depraved world act like the regenerate beleiver? Instead let us simply proclaim the truth of the Gosple and let God's effectual work make the differnce is this decaying world.

Besides, you know how many products are made by corporations that support a gay/lesbian agenda. We would bever use anything that we own!

On a positive note, we boycotted our local K-mart for magazine porn a few years ago. Wow, did it ever make a difference! I was glad to take part.

It's not surprising, since Ford focused most of its production and promotion on trucks and SUVs. When gasoline in $3+/gal, your best products are gas guzzlers, and your police cruisers have a history of burning officers to death when they are struck from behind, it is bound to affect your sales. I'm surprised their sales are not much worse.

The AFA is taking credit for something that they didn't do.

My family used to only buy Fords, but after three very different Ford vehicles with bad air conditioners, poor cooling systems, bad electrical systems, and poor (and often blatantly dishonest) service from more than ten different Ford dealerships over the course of four years, we haven't purchased another Ford.

Ford has created their own problems.

I don't have a favorite company. I have owned Ford, Chevy, Dodge and Buick. I have had good things and bad things with each.

I have had similar experiences PastorSBC1303. Let's see...I have had at least one of the following:

    Rambler 1
    Plymouth 1
    Ford 4
    Chevy 1
    Jeep 1
    Toyota 4

Each had their plusses & minuses, but what social causes they sponsor has never been a consideration.

Never again! Fool me once, and all that.

What we have owned and how they have lasted (I used to drive about 80,000 miles per year, not counting my wife's driving; this list excludes classic hot rods that were simply toys):

    Buick: 1 184,000
    Ford: 1 186,000
Chrysler: 1 103,000 (they would not honor their warranty prior to this, either)
    GMC: 1 117,000
    Cadillac: 1 148,000
Mazda: 1 274,000 (brother totalled; it was still running fine)
    Toyota: 7 314,000, 324,000, 347,000, 265,000 (hit and totalled), 294,000.

We own two of them currently. One is an RV with only 98,000 miles on it, and the other is my Supra. The car itself has 219,000 miles on it, but the guy I bought it from installed a Japanese spec engine for the horsepower, so the engine only has 51,000 on it. The original engine is still running in a Cressida, in which the original engine died at a little over 300,000 miles.

So, guess what kind of car we're getting ready to buy?

It's sad to see Ford join other automakers in supporting the homosexual lifestyle. I don't know specifically the other automakers that do so, but I am sure that Ford is not alone in this market strategy.

And for what it is worth, I have no complaints with the 7 Fords I have either purchased or leased over the past ten years. The local dealership has always provided good service...expensive, but good.

Well, I would wager that you cannot separate yourself from supporting everything evil. No matter how careful, something that you spend will benefit something sinister.

No, we can't separate ourselves from supporting everything evil because we don't know about everything going on. But, we can separate ourselves from the evil we DO know about and not support those.
