I think this is a baptist question.

It has been stated, by a frequent baptist poster, that the only way for forgiveness of this sin is to dialog (listen, don't talk) with black folks.

I say it's heresy, and should be challenged. Challenged on the grounds it takes the away the work on the cross, and the role of the Holy Spirit, and renders them both powerless.

    Anyone else ?

I think so. I'm pretty shocked, to be honest. Never thought I'd see the day he told me another Human could grant me absolution, as long as I did my penance. That's exactly what this is, ain't it ?

Nothing wrong with your view. But it will never bring peace to those who, like Sharpton, want a division in race..

I am not guilty of owning slaves, hiring slaves, selling slaves, beating slaves, fighting a war to keep slavery legal.

I am not guilty of refusing to let a black man or woman vote.

Those are days long gone, and hopefully the guilty have paid their price to this society? When it comes to unfair views toward people of any color, I stand without guilt, and like you say, that came via the cross of Jesus. The cross we all cling to, preach about and enjoy freedom from past sin and guilt from.

Amen to all of that RDII. We worship a savior mighty to forgive. We thank Father God for him. We rejoice in our salvation, and are of good cheer because of it.

Race and slavery is a far left extreme political tool used to further social justice, in other words communism.

You do tend to tell a lot of lies. That's not a dialog and is not something I said.

What should be challenged are the lies designed to support the unChristlike narrative.

The work on the Cross and the work of the Holy Spirit were around during slavery and Jim Crow. But the wickedness of racial prejudice and racism pervaded. You won't listen to the man sitting across from you so it's unlikely you'd listen to the Holy Spirit.

I'll not listen to you deny what you put up, supported, and said was a good read.

And sin's been around a long time. I agree. It's almost like you think racism is a worse sin than others, given your instructions for absolvement.

Some folks can't seem the truth when it's stuck to their face in the shape of a nose. That makes them a lost cause ....
