France bans muslim protest

    It will be interesting to see them try to enforce this in Paris. Paris is overrrun by Muslims, just like London.

    European states have always been more authoritarian than the US regarding free speech, so I'm not surprised.

    So the French who outlawed "hate speech" are saying it's okay for certain frenchmen and their papers to print hateful images but nobody else can.

    I think it's a sensitive area here at the moment, europe is trying to deal with islam at the moment.

    I don't have much sympathy for France as they have brought it on themselves with their love of the Arab world etc. It's not the Arabs thats the problem, it's islam. Real pain in the butt and false religion. Geez, it did not even exist before 600 ad, plus it chucks out much of the OT to suit its needs, but the biggest thing is that it denies Jesus as the Son of God. That for me is enough.

    Judaism denies the deity of Jesus. Is that enough for you to call it "a pain in the butt false religion" and ban the free speech and protests of those who practice it?

    What about atheists? Should they have no first amendment rights?

    How about Buddists? Should they have no first amendment rights either?

    Yes, islam is evil, the Jews are the chosen of God, way off but God has not rejected His people they reject Him. islam is evil. God has blessed the Arab nation but not islam.

    Do you equate Judaism with islam? Did you know that only 15% of muslims are Arab.

    I did not say Judaism is a pain in the butt, rather interesting actually, I said islam is a pain in the butt. And very phoney.

    O comon, like athiests are going to kill themselves and cause untold suffering, and buddha types are real peaceful, islam is total evil.

    Nothings got my back up. You said that Islam denies the deity of Jesus and that's enough for you. If that's enough for you to ban the free speech of muslims then why isn't it enough for you to ban the free speech of Jews? They deny the deity of Jesus.

    Nazism is evil yet we don't ban their first amendment rights.

    Communism is evil yet we don't ban their first amendment rights.

    How many did the Nazis kill? How many did the communists kill?

    Why should we single out the muslims? Shouldn't every evil ideology and every religion that rejects Jesus as the son of God have it's first amendment rights denied them?

    Quit mumbling about and make your case dude!

    I don't really care about athiests and buddha types or politics, what I care about is an active evil in the world that needs to be stamped out. Or should I say addressed. I really would like to stay out of world matters, but islam cannot be ignored or put to one side. Anyway, I am sure I am not the only one who thinks like this. The USA etc will sort it soon, the world is getting tired of islam. And good riddence to it.

    No you aren't the only one here that thinks like that and quite frankly it's disturbing. The Nazis held that communists were evil. And they tried to stamp them out. They held that Jews were evil and they tried to stamp them out.

    They did a pretty good job of killing millions of communists and Jews before we stepped in to stop them didn't they?

    I'd venture a guess that there were a many like minded people who agreed with the Nazis to make the killing of so many communists and Jews seem like the right thing to do.

    David, since you live in France and have lived with the muslim riots over there, you probably have a different take on it than poncho.

    Anyone who studies islamic history knows what the real deal is and what their political ideology cloaked in religion is. Thanks for your posts. I agree with the French government for stamping down the riots and violence and allowing free speech.

    Unfortunately, our leaders in this administration have thrown free speech (and our Constitution) under the bus in order to appease the islamic world and "not offend."

    I say it is the islamic world that needs to grow up and stop the barbarism. Any group that commits murder, mayhen, riots, destruction of property, bombing, etc. over a movie trailer is more than wacked out.
