The new French regime is moving away from the policies that didn't work!

France gets tough on illegal immigration, setting quotas for arrests, expulsions

The French President has "set a goal of 25,000 expulsions by the end of 2007 - compared with 24,000 in 2006 - and set a year-end goal of 125,000 arrests for alleged illegal entry or illegal residence".

France says no to mass legalisation of undocumented immigrants

The new French minister of immigration and national identity ruled out legalizing illegal immigrants en masse" and said "We have to put aside massive legalization. It doesn't work and it penalizes, even immigrants".

If I have the correct data, France has about 400 thousand illegal aliens in their country of about 61 million. We have about 20 million in a population of 300 million. We have about six times as many illegal aliens per citizen or legal resident.

That means our challenge is a proportionally great but this is America isn't it?

Let's set a goal of 1 million per year and in 20 years will have the job done if we start today leaving our descendants free of this problem and making room for legal immigrants as well.
