Well, at first it appeared that James Dobson didn't appear to share your sentiment. Now it seems that Focus on the Family now claims that US News and World Report "mischaracterized" Dr. Dobson's comments about the former Tennessee Senator.

So, I guess that he is just as good as Gingrich.

 [Sorry: I can't stop laughing at the thought of Gingrich as good.]

    Regards,

What next? A book describing Gingrich's new, new found faith in God. Well it worked for Bush maybe it will work for Newt too.[IMG]

Mainly because I am a Democrat! It shouldn't surprise you that I would support the Democratic candidate.

I don't know if geographic alignments really hold anymore. Edwards did Kerry no favors in the South in '04. Kemp didn't help Dole in the northeast in '96. I think it's more about the dreaded "Red" and "Blue" states now.

This was the best news I have seen in the coming Presidential election. I would still like to study where he stands but from my impression of him I could enthusiastically support him. I believe (read "hope") he will draw support from the camps of others running for the Republican nomination.

This guy could go far and fast, with the three front runners (McCain, Giuliani, Romney) showing no real belief in morality and wishy washy on about any issue. Romney the hunter, that is so typical.

We need solid, steady, honest leadership, not a repeat of the last 6+ years, which the ones announced so far are an exact pattern of what is in place.

Sorry, I could not get to the link on this computer. I am at two weeks of school for my job, and have limited access. I have not heard him say so, but if he did, I would guess he would add the element that he means to win and get out. That is one issue. I tell you what does not set well with me is a Republican president and congress that for six years mismanaged a war, did nothing about social security, abortion, ran up record deficits, did nothing to protect our borders, in fact, got worse, and ran an inept administratrion. No leadership ability mixed with lying to the American people is dangerous. Yes, I do think Fred Thompson is a cut above that. I think he can lead, and I think he has common sense. McCain, Giuliani, and Romney are a rehash of Bush.
