I was wondering if anyone has links to good free online books or resources to learn more about Baptists history. The more reliable the information the better.

Update: As you can see I'm new to this site and just saw the resources sticky. Feel free to slap me around with a trout and then delete this post. Thanks.

More books than you can imagine can be found @ Christian Classics Ethereal Library

    Even some Baptist stuff!

    Some worthwhile non-Baptist reads include:

    The Confessions of Saint Augustine

Pilgrims Progress by John Bunyan (1628-1699)

Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis (c. 1380-1471)

And here are some for those in the Translations and Versions forum, (if they ever read this far down on the Board). :tongue3:

Causes of the Corruption of the Traditional Text of the Holy Gospels by Dean Burgon

Inspiration and Interpretation: Seven Sermons Preached Before the University of Oxford:
    by Dean Burgon

    RE:etheral library

Deacon this has been one of my favorite sites for many years, Wheaton has done a good job with this library.

To each his own: there are some people in the church I attend that accuse me of not being Baptist. :(
