Interestingly, often those preachers that obsessively pound away on recurrent themes such as adultery, drinking, etc... Often are fighting those temptations or have fallen to them and are in a sort of denial.

Jimmy Swaggert is a perfect example. I still remember listening to him on the tv years ago, and he was constantly harping about pornography, adultery, and other sexual misconduct/sin. Then, "wa la!" surprises of surprises, he's caught in the very thing he obsessed about in so many of his sermons.

Now as for our OP or thread author.......I'll bet my back teeth, that he's struggling with the very doctrine that he's attempting to convince all of us on this board of. It's a very predictable trait.

As for carnalizing the scriptures as DHK mentioned, that is a very well-put way of explaining what the OP is doing.

I think that this is a "struggling" person. Also, they just might need some meds to temper their obsessiveness focus or rant.

Just read in 2 Timothy, where Paul told Timothy to beware of getting into hot debates over these types of issues. There is no learning curve for all parties concerned.
