Obama to America -- I Win, You Lose

"Give me tyranny and give me debt" has replaced “Give me liberty or give me death.”

With his health care holy war, President Obama is sending America at least 10 messages since taking office:
    1. I win; you lose.
    2. My will; not the will of the people.
    3. Government of Obama, by Obama, for Obama; not government of the people, by the people, for the people.
    4. Corrupt House rules and autocracy; not play by the rules and democracy.
    5. “I’ll tread on you” now steps on “Don’t tread on me.”
    6. “I, the president”; not “We, the People.”
    7. “All men are created equal” but I am more equal than others.
    8. “The dissent of the president” overrules “the consent of the governed.”
    9. “Give me tyranny and give me debt” replaces “Give me liberty or give me death.”
    10. “That government is best which governs most” supersedes “That government is best which governs least.”

Actually, it was an opinion piece written by some contributing author, and listed on the Fox News website. Just one person's opinion, not necessarily Fox News'.

Though I'm not a fan of our current president or this healthcare bill, I don't agree with the author. Bottom line, elections have consequences. In the last election, the American people voted in a democratic President, a democratic House and a democratic Senate. Thus, we shouldn't be surprised to see the results.

Exactly. The American people made a choice and the process is running its course. How is this tyranny?

Since when did you ever worry about a post being on topic? 90% of yours aren't even remotely related to the thread at hand.

Because of the sleazy, underhanded, unethical way the bill came to be...

    1. I win;
    Yes

    you lose.
    Possibly

    2. My will;
    Yes

not the will of the people.
This is what they voted for in November 08

    3. Government of Obama, by Obama, for Obama; not government of the people, by the people, for the people.
This is the government they voted for in November 08

    4. Corrupt House rules and autocracy; not play by the rules and democracy.
    What rules were broken?

    5. “I’ll tread on you” now steps on “Don’t tread on me.”
No treading, This is what they voted for in November 08

    6. “I, the president”; not “We, the People.”
This is what 'we the people' voted for in November 08

    7. “All men are created equal” but I am more equal than others.
How is President Obama, 'more equal' as a result of this vote?

    8. “The dissent of the president” overrules “the consent of the governed.”
They gave their consent in November 08

    9. “Give me tyranny and give me debt” replaces “Give me liberty or give me death.”
    See other post

    10. “That government is best which governs most” supersedes “That government is best which governs least.”
Excellent point here, but nothing new in this administration. 'Governs most' has been going on for about 80 years.

Just because he was voted in does not mean the people are getting what they thought. Tyranny is continuing to spend in the face of never seen debt.

Americans have overwhelmingly opposed this bill. Voting someone in doesn't mean they should do whatever they want. They are supposed to do what we want. The question is now will Americans hold these people accoutable? We'll see.

This is the great thing about the Constitution - 2 year terms allows quick changes IF people will do it. We will know in November how serious public opposition to HCR was.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid that agent "K" (Tommy Lee Jones) was right in "Men In Black."

Lets get the facts straight, in the last election Americans elected a Democrat President, Democrat House and a Democrat Senate.

There is a big difference between Democrat and democratic.

I find it interesting that delegates to the National Democrat Convention be equally divided by gender. So, if county is entitled to 20 delegates and the top 14 vote getters are men, #'s 11-14 will not be allowed to be seated, as they must be filled by females! Now that is democratic - isn't it!

Now don't get me wrong, if the DNC wants those rules, they should be allowed to have them, just don't confuse people that they (DNC) are democratic!

Right. Democratic leadership was elected by the American people, except for the President, who was elected by the Electoral College.

Right. One's a noun and the other's an adjective. Depending on the capitalization it can mean a form of government or the Democratic Party.

The Duval County Republican Executive Committee divides their members equally by gender too.

    Changed my mind.
