I have been known to pick a peach off the tree and eat it peal and all. I have picked an orange or two as well. But I generally wash them if I get them out of a grocery store. I eat figs out of my tree all the time without washing them. Well that was the case until I saw a blue jay do what blue jays do when perched on a limb.
I am a man and I never wash my fruit. Washing fruit is madre's job.
That girl washes everything - apples, oranges, jicama, lettuce - you name it she washes it! madre has a big plastic tub that she uses for her brew of wing of bat and eye of newt.... I think it's just Clorox and water...
