The past four days or so have been interesting. I had been experiencing floaters and flashes for a few days and knew that I had torn the retina in my left eye. Two years ago I had a retina repair for my right eye. So I went to Shanghai and Hong Kong and all over the place to attend to my vision. (Not the 'vision-thing' as Bush 41 had famously said.) It normally takes about 2 and a half hours from Shanghai to Hong Kong. We were on the plane for more than 7 hours. Two of those hours were spent on the tarmac. Most of the rest of the time we circled the H.K. airport more than a dozen times. Have any of you had a retinal repair? The surgery is relatively quick. I had two tears so it took about 12 minutes. The pressure and pounding of the eye-ball is quite the sensation! So presently my field of vision is not clear --but in two weeks or so it should improve. Hurray!
