    Christ's death on the cross COMPLETELY dealt with all sin: past, present or future. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin. I heard that that word speaks of a continuing, never stop process.

    Now, fellowship with God, that is another matter.

    Forgiveness is a broader term than merely securing us from the penalty of sin. It comes from a word that means freedom. While I am eternally grateful for the already secured freedom from hell, I must also seek the daily freedom from the shackles, confusion, weight, misleading, error, and downright burden of the effects of the sins that I still commit. So, yes, I still need to seek forgiveness, just not in the limited context of penalty.
