OK. Once we ate at a buffet in a gambling hotel. It's usually a bargain because they make their $$$ of of the gambling not the food. We had no problem with it although 1) I don't "advertise" it because I know some are offended and 2) I'd go back but it's not something that I'd make a habit of because then it would in a way become a part of my "lifestyle".

Several times for my work I had to attend conferences and/or meetings in Las Vegas and Reno hotels. IMHO they are both horrible places but I did not feel so bad about being there for work.

I thought it was funny that someone injected KJV1611 into this post...was that for the purpose of easing the argumentative spirit?

    :D :D :D

1 Is the primary purpose of the conveince store to sell beer? If so avoid it. (we have some in my area that exist mostly because they sell beer on sunday and that is their advertisement "Cold beer on /Sunday")

2 Is the store that sells porn a sex shop? Is its primary pupose to cater to lifestyles that God hates? If so don't go there.
3 Is the resturant a beer joint with a grill or is it a regular sit down place? Beer joint don't go.
4 How are you talking to the prostitute? In the open or would it be possible for people passing by to think you are trying to pick them up for sex? If it could be construed for sex don't talk to them. Find a way so your intentions are clear to anyone who would take notice.

I guess you might have trouble if the only resturant you can reasonably get to is a beer joint inside a c-store surounded by an army of prostitutes that's only open at 3am.
The basic thought idea of your post lines up with the personal seperation thread Dr.Bob started.

1.) Why go at all? Being seen at a place that sells beer could imply you endorse purchasing beer, alcoholism, and DUI.

2.) If porn causes someone to eventually act out and abuse children and other things, then why frequent a shop that sells helps aids to child molesters?

3.) But if you are going to sit in the bar, or be seen near someone drinking alcohol, again, are you not advocating alcohol?

4.) I never talk to prostitutes about sex, so that would rule out that conversation.
 But nevertheless, if we don't talk to them about God, who will? And if someone sees us talking to them, who is to know it is or isn't about sex?

Wherever we are, if we are at any of the places listed above, surrounded by lost people, we need to present the gospel. Take the opportunity.
