Corporate mistake leads to $3.09 gas

[IMG]An employee at the gas station said it was a "corporate mistake." The gas should have been priced at $4.09 a gallon.

BEECH GROVE, Ind. (WISH) - Gas prices have jumped to $4.19 in Central Indiana. But overnight, one station gave some Hoosiers the chance to cash in on a much lower price.

Around midnight, drivers in Beech Grove discovered gas for $3.09 a gallon at the Murphy U.S.A. station in front of the Wal-Mart on South Emerson.

Dozens of drivers lined up to take advantage of the deal described by an employee as a "corporate mistake." But the station that usually closes at midnight stayed open an extra hour to accommodate drivers.
