Same types that will march in this one. Every president has a cross section of the nation in the parade or you would hear that they are discriminating.

That was pretty much my point - but I was thinking that if we had a list of specific groups, it really wouldn't surprise me if there was a "surprise" group amongst them.

Homosexuals are Americans, too. They should not be excluded from the secular areas of American life, such as this parade.

    Ahhhhhh...no. :)

However, this coming Saturday I will be playing a bluegrass gospel song by Sheryl Crow. Yes...that Sheryl Crow. Also, a bluegrass gospel song by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. :)

and only sin done in private not in public matters to God, right. some here always seem to want to keep God in the c loset, and allow sin free domain without a word against it. if other declare something sin that God has already called sin then the rest of us are judging. we should never point the finger at sin according to some, it is all ok.
God is God in public as well as private, He is God even when He is not recoginized as such, His rules for human behavior are always in effect, and most assuredly in christians at all times. yet here on this christian board we constantly see christians allow, support and defend sin, no one has the right to sin, especially when saying it is ok with God, calling evil good.

Which has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that this is a secular republic, not a theocracy. We cannot enforce religious mandates on the greater population. It is changed hearts & minds that change lives, not theocratic bullying by a government ruled by religion.

Christians excersizing their American right to have a say in the goings on of this country is by no means a theocracy and the weakest of arguments. Rather than trying to lead dual lives ie a christian life and a secular life we are to live by biblical principles in every facet of life including government. We should engage both culture and government with the gospel and biblical precepts at every turn. God help us if we don't.

You do have your say. Your gay neighbor also has his or her say.

So are you saying that we should let God out of the Closet?

That should be our slogan..."Let God out of the Closet"

This is in essence saying Christians should have no say, or in other words shut up.

In other words, you repeating your lie doesn't make it so. I said no such thing. Again, I beseech you, take a reading comprehension class. It would do you a world of good. Surely they have community colleges in Florida. If you can't discuss what is said, you find it much more to your liking to twist and distort into a strawman so you can go after that. Try to keep up.

I do not understand how people that are supposed to be Christians. Can have such different views about things. I thought we were supposed to be like minded.

I agree Rev... Good statement. However, there is a way to approach and deal with those who who are secular. You can't call a man a f@ggot then ask him to join the Church. Jesus hung openly with the publican's and sinners so that he himself was accused of being a winebibber. You think fear what people thought stopped him?

The way I see it, even if the secular law was changed to make robbery legal, my neighbors are safe because I live by a higher law. I would prefer a world who doesn't steal out of love for their fellowman than one who is only afraid of jail. I don't concern myself with what legislative controls government places on people, I am concerned that we love one another as Christ loved us, that we treat people how we want to be treated. Not because the law says so but because deep in your heart you know it's the right thing to do and you can't help but do what's right.

This was a problem with the law. People obeyed it out of fear of ticking God off more than they obeyed it because it was right. That's not what God is looking for, he is looking to transform us by the renewing of our hearts.

And so we should be able to love the sinner but hate the sin. That's the example Christ gave us to live by. No, I don't love or endorse a g@y lifestyle but the people are still God's creation in need of a witness to take them by the hand and lead them to the light.

If they use the Bible as a guide regardless of there denomination how can they think being Gay is OK. A Christian is supposed to strive to be Christ like. Regardless of there denomination.

If someone was advocating being gay, I must have missed that one.
