Tenet is no longer head of the CIA, but he sure joined the typical Washington post-political chapter of the CYA. What a phony self-serving hypocrite. A Clinton appointed disaster and if this mess in Iraq has one person to blame it is this bumbling boob. Here is a good article by Christopher Hitchens:

We have better evidence than that. Here is what Tenet told the relevant Senate committee in February 2002:
Iraq … has also had contacts with al-Qaida. Their ties may be limited by divergent ideologies, but the two sides' mutual antipathy toward the United States and the Saudi royal family suggests that tactical cooperation between them is possible, even though Saddam is well aware that such activity would carry serious consequences.

It would appear the biggest mistake Bush made was keeping him on. We went to war with his intelligence, and bi-partisian support. Now everyone wants to re-write history, and put Bush & Cheney in jail.

But I fear instead of putting attention on Tenet, people will tell you Front Page Magazine is not a reliable news source.

Tenet is very typical of the age of Aquarius Clinton crowd where truth and integrity take a back seat to appearance and perception.

To a liberal yes. But David Horowitz spent many years on their side as a member of the Communist Party before he saw the light. I think FPM is a very reliable source.

Whenever he writes a book, I look forward to the talk radio appearances he does on promotion tours. Horowitz is fearless.

And I also like FPM, but you know.....lots of folks don't. Probably makes them deny too many facts, at the same time. Stressful, to be sure.

Saw Horowitz recently on Book TV. He very passionate and very well informed. He was debating the bias toward conservative thinking and conservative thinking students on the university campus. He crushed the guy up against him. Haven't read his book or the other guys, but again Horowitz crushed him in the debate.

Read Horowitz's autobiography "Radical Son". It is excellent. He tells how his involvment with the black panthers led to his disillusionment with liberals among other things. It has been a long time since I read it. I might read it again.

I bought it yesterday, and it's at the bottom of my "books to read pile." Obviously the commentators here haven't read it.

Front Page News reliable? That's the best joke I've heard today.

Tenet has a lot to answer for. It's no surprise he would write a book to try to spread the blame.

Tenet was appointed the Deputy Director of Central Intelligence in July 1995 and served in that capacity until he became Director on July 11, 1997, after a unanimous confirmation vote in the United States Senate.

Are you saying there weren't any Republicans in the Senate among those who unanimously confirmed Tenet?
