Even if Mollenkott is only a stylist; I don't want my Bible to be styled after a pervert!

    She was fired, you know. How much influence did she have? If she had any, it sure is not evident anywhere in the NIV at all.

    So far, nothing against the NIV translators, :rolleyes: which is the subject of this thread.

    </font>
Why was lesbain Mollenkott hired in first place there? If the NIV realized about her, the NIV was published due to wrong idea. Funny, double homosexuals bought the NIV business in NY? Think yourself when you look at the NIV that YOU hold with your hands, is the NIV trustworthy? To defend the NIV is to defend homosexuality. One homosexual man notified me that most homosexuals favor the NIV more than any Bible versions because the NIV replaced sodomy for other word.

    Would it make you feel better if one of the translators was a drunkard who drank his fill every day while working on the translation? How about if members of the translation group considered Baptists heretics and a threat to God's church? What if they persecuted Baptists?

    Would those things make a translation committee superior to one who had an undeclared lesbian working briefly as a English style consultant?

    Page four was a mostly a series of attacks and counter attacks. The rest of page four and page five so far has only been the sexual orientation of one consultant, and this topic has been hashed and rehashed ad nasuem.

    And, before there is an accusation of bias, I have not referred to an NIV in about 15 years.

    How is it "styled after a pervert" if it holds more strongly and clearly against homosexuality than the KJV? Please explain. I don't get your line of reasoning at all, especially since it makes no sense.

    </font>
To defend the NIV is to defend homosexuality? Incorrect, especially when the NIV is very clearly against homosexuality and in a much stronger sense than the KJV...which by the way again, one could use the same attack against King James, proven or unproven. There is an abundance of circumstantial evidence to support that he was homo or bisexual. Attacks and counter attacks on the issue really do not help either side. :rolleyes:

    Well actually, Terry, I don't use the NIV. :D ... I like it to read, but I don't preach from it. A couple of people in the church carry it. We use the NASB. But the truth remains the truth, no matter who said it. Mollenkott was an English style consultant and the NIV is very clear on the issue of homosexuality. There is no debate about that.

    Yes, it is.

    No, it's not.

    I doubt it, but if he prefers the NIV, then he ignores it because the NIV is very clear on the issue of homosexuality. The NIV clearly condemns it.
