Glad to see the HCSB moved up on the literal scale.

I was checking the "literal vs dynamic scale" on christian books today and noticed they have moved the HCSB up on the literal scale. Before, they had it right next to the NIV, which i thought was a little too dynamic for it. It falls right bellow the NKJV now.

Yeah, it is a pretty good translation. I like it but but prefer the ESV.

I always considered it more literal. They only took the dynamic approach on texts that needed it and remained formal on the rest.

I think CSB had it wrong all along in comparing it to the NIV.

The HCSB is very similiar to the NIV. The TNIV is even more akin to it.

The ISV,NET Bible,NIV/TNIV and HCSB are all mediating versions. They share more commonalities than differences.

How has the HCSB become more literal? Has it underwent revision?
If not, how can you move it? Did the Coaches poll vote it higher than the AP?

I guess they did LOL! The literal scale on Christianbooks.com moved it up. (Take it for what it is worth). I believe they originally had it right above the NIV.
