This is a pretty good test, and yes it belongs in the General Baptist Discussions because we can't expect to hold our own on any topic if we don't know these general topics in the news, which has a direct bearing on our faith and citizenship which go hand-in-hand!

What I found astonishing was that so many people got less than half right. These results say that 80% of the American (voting) public doesn't have a clue, and that's pretty scary.

There are no tricks here. Just a simple test to see if you are current on your information.

Test your knowledge with 13 questions, and then be ready to shudder when you see how others did.

Don't forget to take the poll to tell us how well you did [as the poll will keep you anonymous] on the test!

    12 of 13 correct.

Interesting test, but I'm not sure how this test is connected with the concept(s) of God and Country.

    Well.....

....it is my opinion that well informed believers make the best voters. It is also my opinion that believers need to be knowledgeable about current events that has to do with this nation, especially since we have elected to elect others to do ur bidding and represent us in DC. A well-informed Christian makes a good citizen. If we do not know the basic's going on around us, how can we expect to pray and vote and get involved with public affairs when the time comes. IMHO!

Like me, I am forever writing my local, state and federal politicians regarding my concerns and asking that they get involved on particular issues of importance to me and my community. I can't very well do this without knowing who it is that represents me; who is in what office? Current events like unemployment, gas prices, the budget stalemate, health insurance, foreign affairs. :type:

It is my opinion that the church needs to be familiar with the general players and issues going on around them if they are to be balanced. Again this is merely MHO! :wavey:

11/13, I missed the Massachusettes Senator and the logo. I used to watch the news everyday, now never do. If something has happened, it is usually a thread on this board that makes me aware of it. It dawned on me one day, that for all the time I had spent watching news programs, it did not make one bit of difference in my life.

I know I probably missed the question about Ms. Warren of Massachusetts because I don't know her face - I eliminated Polosi, but still left three faces I didn't recognize.

What on earth was the other one I missed? Where were the answers?
