    The point I think he was making is that faith does not grab the wind by the tail and tell it to blow here.

    Jesus said being born again is like the wind that cannot be controlled nor understood.

    One does not get saved simply because he trusts Christ. If that were so then he could control the wind.

    No, the opposite is the case. One trusts Christ because the "wind" has blown his way and he has been born again.

    The post was to the question of regeneration preceding faith.

    I was not establishing this belief in John 2 unto saving effectiveness. Quite the contrary, some do believe in Jesus name for ulterior motives proof that regeneration has not taken place.

    The difference in genuine faith and false faith is established by the parable of the sower and proved by the "trial of faith" in 1 Peter.

    We don't come to Christ to be born again we come to Him because we are born from above.

    Thank you for your reply, but read the post again with this truth in mind.
