From an article from Jack Hyles....

Does this make Hyles an open theist?

"3. God repents. Notice Genesis 6:6, "And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart." Bear in mind, the word "repent" means "change of mind." God made man and wished He hadn't. He was grieved because of what man had done, and He repented that He had made man. This does not mean that God repented from sin, because God could not sin; He simply changed His mind, which He does often. Basically, that is what answered prayer is much of the time. ?

I guess it does. At the very least, it makes him a less-than-ideal interpreter of scripture.

As to his quote, can you say "anthropomorphism"? Sure, I knew you could.

I'm whatever God made me, and I'm not an open theist. Although I suppose God could change His mind sometime in the future.

They struggle with how to pronounce an-throw-po-morf-ism?

If ya cant' pronounce it, ya ought to denounce it.

    I'm a poet and didn't know it.
My feet show it. They're Longfellows.

Ok, I'm done. I'll leave you to your morphisis-isms.

I'm not going to worry about that; my punches aren't that strong anyway; I'll have to defer to Npet.

I can't beleive you all helped me hijack my own thread!!!!

Anyway... I thought Open Theism was relatively new... but in this article by Hyles, he is obviously supporting the tenets of open theism...

I wonder how many thought Hyles thought God was Omniscient... OK.. (all knowing for our pronounciation handicapped friends :) )
