God is not a Republican (or a Democrat)

When people try to mix religion and politics, politics does not become clean, but religion does become soiled.

 

My people were Democrats since there were Democrats. The radical agenda that was thrust upon the party after 1972 has caused my party to leave me.

How in the world any mature Christian can support abortion rights, gay rights, gay marriage, and the rest of the Democratic social agenda, is beyond me. I am not satisfied with the GOP, but at least I can hold my head up and bow it to pray in public without some PC police correcting me.

 

God may not be a Democrat or a Republican, but ONE THING I KNOW:

GOD IS PRO-LIFE.

 

You'd think that any former fetus would be pro life. Maybe that's it, these guys were hatched in a laboratory!

 

How receptive would a lost person be to a self-professed christian that supports the abortion and gay rights agendas? How can a christian witness to lost people when they support unbiblical agendas?

Doesnt the Bible have something to say about "serving two masters"?

Democrats(Liberals) support Gay rights
Democrats (Liberals) want to legalize drugs
Democrats(Liberals) are pro abortion
Democrats(Liberals) want God/Religion out

There is a reason they vote overwhelmingly Democrat while polls show Christians vote overwhelmingly Republican. Whom you align with says alot about you and your beliefs. There is also a reason Ministers overwhelmingly vote Republican:

Can't say 100% that God would be a Republican, but I can say 100% that he would align more with the Republicans values and beliefs than the Liberal Democrats.:godisgood:

 

I dont think that I am as "misdirected" as the self-professed christians that claim to represent the gospel while supporting candidates that have vowed to promote and expand gay rights and abortion.

It just doesnt make sense to me.

And I stand by my observation that Satan must be jumping for joy because of the platform of the liberals. And, Satan must be even happier that he has "self-professed christians" serving his cause, and promoting his agenda.

I dont know how many of you liberals that support abortion and gay rights candidates are pastors, but I am certain that at least some of you must be.

let me just say one thing to you. I would not knowingly listen to any sermon by such a pastor, much less join or attend their church. How a person can preach the gospel and support such garbage is beyond me.

Who's for in vitro fertilization? Liberals/Democrats
Who is for war? No one I know. The "unjust" is a matter of opinion which history will have to sort out.

Unjust capital punishment? No one I know is for that. But who is against capital punishment (which God instituted, btw)? Liberals/Democrats.

As for Iraqi lives, where you got that comparison is outta left field. Except apparently you believe our troops go in and murder, maim, rape, and plunder innocent Iraqi people. Well, apples and oranges. Nice try.

 

It seems that what we witness here on the BB is a non-Biblical world view by professing Christians/Baptists. I find it amazing that people who call themselves Baptist and who regularly attend a Baptist church hold such anti-Biblical world views, especially when it comes to supporting candidates who are for abortion and letting aborted babies born alive left to die in dirty laundry (Obama). This leads me to conclude that either (a), these professing Christians/Baptists don't regularly attend a Baptist church, (b) their pastor doesn't preach solid Biblical foundation, or (c), they are not really Baptists but have called themselves a Baptist in order to join the BB.

Sad.
