    Thank you, my friend. I really don't know much about the author of that statement. I can clearly see your point in the issue and I do not disagree; that is why I posted a few verses and let them speak for themselves (something we all should do more often) to, perhaps, offer a different perspective.

    I guess there was something about that quote that rang true in my mind. Not necessarily in a literal sense, but in a practical sense. My mind immediately went to the Psalms where it tells us how God views a "broken" and "contrite" heart. I understand that is not a reference to salvation specifically, but I'm glad that, as God's child, He can draw nigh to me and mend my broken heart when I get to the place where I realize that my greatest need is Him.

    There is more truth to this statement than in ANYTHING I have read from this dreadlocked hippie, OR the author of this O/P. AMEN !!!!
