    "I am the beginning and the ending; the first and the last." God is eternal; He has always existed. If God is the beginning and the ending, the first and last then time is eternal. There was no beginning for God and there won't be an end to Him. Time exists in our world; for God it doesn't.

    The first and the last simply means the one and only. There is none other like Him, and never will be.

    God is. He wasn't "doing" at any point. There was no "some point" in His eternal I AM. God exists outside of space and time.
