Well, the SCOTUS ruling is out. And for sure the US economy is about to go into the doldrums are more jobs are eliminated so that companies can cover the increasing healthcare costs.

Evangelicals are endorsing a Presidential candidate who worships a false god.
The leader of the free world has declared that he is for same-sex marriage.

The list is long against America and we refuse to acknowledge the signs from God that this country needs to repent.

Instead, much like ancient Israel, we continue to become more defiant and more convinced that our way is better than God's.

God would spare America, if only the professed Christians of the land would repent. "For the time is come that Judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the Gospel of God?" (1Peter 4:17).

But the stubborn confidence of the professed Church in the power of its own hands will bring God's curse upon it. "Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD" (Jeremiah 17:5).

Without a clear-cut separation from sin and the world, America's churches have lost their distinctive platform to call the nation to repentance. Her ministers and leaders have brought great reproach upon the Name of God in front of the unconverted. "Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them" (Ezekiel 22:26).

God's judgment is about to be set loose and this country is deserving of it.

"Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man" (Luke 21:36).

Our own sin will condemn us, just as it has Europe who is being taken over by Muslims. God doesn't have to do a thing except watch.

Could you please quote some scripture showing that in the age of grace that God is in the business of judging nations, and not judging people only?

    Thanks.

The End of Time is unfolding pretty much as forecast in Mt. 24 and 25 plus the Book of Revelation. While it is true the Gospel is to be preached to the uttermost parts of the earth, no where does it say the world will be won to Christ. In fact, to the contrary, there is going to be more false teachers and apostasy. If it were possible The Elect would be deceived. The Holy Spirit will not allow The Elect to be deceived.

The next major spiritual event is the Rapture of the Saints, probably not Revival. Our major obstacle is that we do not live as if Jesus may come today. God has pulled us out of Sodom, we still want to look back. Remember Lot's wife? Conformity to the world is rampant.

The mystery of iniquity has been working for nearly 6,000 years. The Son of Perdition will have one more battle in the long war against God. Who is on The Lord's side?

Sit and wait? No, go with the true gospel; there are still some lost sheep out there waiting to hear the good news. If we do not go, God will find someone else to go. None have been lost, all of God's children will be back in the fold.

    Even so, come Lord Jesus,

'Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD"

opposite would be true of those who oppose the lord and His mandates!

The is always grace. There is always judgement. God judges the nations at all times. The kings heart is in the Lords hand,he turns it withersoever He will.

All nations are under His control now.We are under judgement already. When you see open sodomites ,and some as rulers, the churches turning from truth, that is the judgement of God already.
When truth is set aside, that is God's judgement.Where ever you see muslims spreading like a plague, that is the judgement.
Multi-religious lands ,India, Africa, South America.....under God's judgement.
Any nation where Roman Church grows, etc.

Truth declines, economies go down, false religions flourish, Benny Hinn shows up for a "crusade"

Good to see you again, I have been out of the loop. I agree with what you said. I have read the other posts. Of course, God will do what He will, and we have no crystal ball to predict things. (at least I dont, not sure about your Icon, LOL). Anyway, God judged nations in the OT for a lot less than this nation has already done. He is still blessing us, and to tell the truth, I cannot figure out why. Our country today makes some of those OT nations look like a combination of the Waltons and Little House on the Praraie. Although everything is in the Lord's timing, I cannot see how this rampant sin and disregard for the Living God can go on much longer.

Has God changed? Why would He not still judge entire nations? Is there something post-Resurrection in the Bible that says He no longer judges nations?

Lots of nations have fallen since then, and we have no way of knowing whether is was God's judgement or not. It was certainly in His plan. Germany, Japan, and the USSR come to mind in recent history.

Some (partial preterists and some futurists) would say that Israel was carried away in AD70 by Titus and lost in the wilderness of this world and now has been reborn (in unbelief, but reborn as a nation) following the Holocaust of WWII.

The only way we know which nations He judged in the OT is Scripture. Since the Ressurection, many nations have fallen, some quite quickly. Without Scripture, we do not know if it was God's judgement or not. It was certainly part of his plan. No, God in the OT and the NT are exactly the same. Welcome to BB.

Thanks Saturneptune.. I was accused of being you the other day.

I agree. The NT is pretty much silent about God judging nations. But since He hasn't changed, i can't see a Biblical reason for us to say that He doesn't judge the nations. And as you said, for the nations that have fallen or experienced extreme chaos and upheaval, none of it happened without God letting it happen.

ZAAC it is not the country that needs to repent, it is the church. His judgement will be on His people (the church) and the nation will suffer. What we are seeing in the nation is the result of the church and her backslidden ways. So many want to look at people like Joel Osteen and Benny Hinn and point fingers when the real problem is our own churches and leaders. We have departed from following the word of God for our own methods and now we are seeing the results. The bigger problem is this is just the beginning so we (the church) better brace ourselves or better yet REPENT and turn from our wicked ways praying for a healing.

Well, I have no idea why you were accused of such, except that during the primaries, I pounded Romney pretty hard over his religious beliefs and record as governor of Massachusetts. I gave up on that a couple of months ago, after a bad experience I had with the Constitution Party, and the fact he is the only alternative to Obama. I am voting for him with a clothes pin on my nose. I feel the Republican Party is about as low as it can go with being extinct. It started in 1988 when Bush the First was nominated, and it has been sliding downward ever since. McCain was terrible, and Romney is worse. In November it will be a mute point, as Obama is probably going to win. Our only hope is that conservative Christians regain control of the Republican Party leadership before 2016.

Good post. I believe we can see an example of bad to no leadership in our own denomiation (SBC that is) as of late.

In the Old Testament the nation of Israel was God's chosen people. Those are the people that he chose to save. The other nations were heathen and you can find many Old Testament verses that spell that out. Many.

In the New Testament, "God so loved the WORLD" and "he is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." Also, God sent the apostles out to preach the gospel in all the world. God redeems people from "every tribe and tongue, and nation, and people." [Rev. 5:9.] Furthermore, all believers have direct access to God now, via Christ, the Mediator.

All of these things listed are changes from the Old Testament. God's approach to the world, nations and their people is different now than it was back then. It's an individual approach rather than a national approach.

Saturneptune, it was not an accusation, it was a tongue-in-cheek question. Since Zaac was raising many of the same objections to Romney that you had, he sounded a lot like you. It was meant to be comedic, not an accusation.
