Just wanted to share this with those of you who are Gold City fans. Please be in prayer for the Riley family during this horrible trial!

I will certainly be in prayer for the Riley family. I knew Doug. Great man. Dedicated to God, Family, and SG Music.

I remember years ago going to see Gold City in Goldsboro, NC with Bob Wilson of 'The Wilsons'. It happened that Gold City was playing at an 'African American' church. The group, Bob, a young man named Jack, and myself were the only white folks in the church that night.

When they were introduced, they were not introduced as 'Gold City' but rather, 'Golden City Kwaatet' which got some chuckles from Brian Free who was singing tenor for them at the time.

When we left, the black folk were shaking our hands and telling us to 'come back and sing for us again'. They thought we were part of the group! LOL

I later told Gary 'Taco' Jones about it and he just laughed and laughed.

I am sorry to hear this. I have been a GC fan since I first heard them about ten years ago.
