That's Silly. Cheney isn't going anywhere until 2009.

I don't know about that. Ever hear of Spiro Agnew?

I wouldn't be shocked if Cheney stepped aside so Bush could make Condi the new VP. This would help with the GOP's plan to run Condi against Hillary in 2008.

Yep. It would be hard for Condi to keep saying no to those of us who want her to run in 2008.

At the moment, I don't think so either. But it's a long way until 2008 and the political terrain will change often between now and then.

    How can you say that?
    She is a bureaucrat....

Joseph is right: VP Cheney is not going anywhere.

Because I like her and it would be great to break the gender/color barrier for the presidency with such a qualified individual as Secretary of State Rice. [IMG]

    How can you say that?
What is her stand on the issues?
    Remember: she is a bureaucrat.

BiR, you are right about Condi. She would encourage mass defections from the GOP because she is silly as a candidate for President--the product of the mind of Dick Morris, out to make a buck on first the Democrats and now the Republicans.

What is even sillier is that there was a crime committed by someone and that Joe Wilson is anything other than a proven liar.

The Democrats should drop their support for this liar Wilson.

I'd like to see her run. This nation deserves her. We're suffering under Jeroboam the son of nebat now and she'd be the icing on the cake.
Her and Jezebel would make a great team now that Ahab Clinton is in retirement.

There is no need in wishing for the worst because the Democrats will deliver it to us at first chance anyway. Hillary is going to have to dance with Farrakhan to win, and she will.

The flaw in Dick Morris's thinking is that the GOP needs to siphon off Black votes from the Democrats in order to win nationally. That is not so. Blacks left the GOP in 1932 and we have won many times without them. Neither do we need the votes or money of gays and lesbians and transgendered persons.

I don't think the gender & race barriers can be broken at the same time -- imho

That was a very, very mean thing for you say about Condi Rice, your sister in Christ. You should do the Christian thing; repent and retract your statement, sir.

"How could Democrats be any worse liars than Repulicans?"

It is difficult to believe but then Clinton was convicted for it and Joe Wilson has been exposed for it and Sandy Berger has been caught with it. The real point is that the GOP can win without Blacks and without gays and lesbians and transgendered persons but the Dems cannot, but then those 4 groups are safely Democrat like the Irish.
