Drugs may serve some role in it but I think on the whole most of them are just addicted to ever bigger and more intrusive government and the corporate handouts known as campaign contributions. Government would have never gotten this big, wasteful and intrusive if both sides hadn't agreed to it.

Surely you jest in not know about Pentagon waste. If you really do not know, do a bit of research. It is not hard to discover information on Pentagon waste.

For instance the V-22 Osprey helicopter was originallly budgeted to cost 4 billion. That was in 1986. By the time I retired in 1995 many were trying to kill that project as the Ospray, at least at that time, was a totally failure in doing what it was supposed to do. The project has been kept alive and over 12 billion has been spent on it.

I did not say I did not know. You made a claim that getting rid of waste would solve the whole issue. I wanted to see you defend that rather bold claim. Do you have any sources that are not anti-military that can corroborate your claim.

Sept 10, 2001 Donald Rumsfeld declared a war on waste. Next day he forgot all about it. Evidently.

NEWSFLASH! 2.3 trillion dollars still missing from the Pentagon and no one is talking about it. But me and a couple of "fringe" candidates.

Yes or No: Should the U.S. government govern according to the Word of God?

    Apples and oranges.

First it is NOT the responsibility of the federal govt to aid the poor. In fact a case could be made it is unconstitutional.

Individual States or Commonwealths - thats another story

Who should be helping the poor?
    A. Themselves
    B. Family
    D. Churches
    E. Social Agcs

Now the Pentagon - that is Constitutional spending

    *

    * off quote just a bit....

I would say the "common good" included the poor, weak, elderly.

Thomas Jefferson would be distraught at what you expressed.

How do you think Jefferson would feel about 7-8 generations of the same family on welfare ? Would he blame Bush ?

Not if the cut the right waste out of their spending. But of course the trick is to make as many people suffer as possible so they can spend even more and waste more in the future.

Don't believe I've mentioned the Democrats. Oh, maybe you mean the party of death is the one that wants to cut food aid to those elderly folk who need help.

"I was hungry and ye fed me." Don't believe Christ ever said not to feed elderly folk.

The death party is the one that supports the murder of unborn children.

Everyone on this Forum should know by now from CTB's ranting about Republicans:

    1. Republicans have no mother and no father. They apparently sprang full grown from the slime. Oh! they don't have sisters either [See item 4]. Sorry Amy.G!

    2. There are no old Republicans. Haven't figured that one out yet. Speak up CTB!

    3. There are no young Republicans. See item #1 above.

    4. There are no female Republicans. Perhaps that explains item #1 and item #3. But what if a woman sprang full grown from the slime; tell you the truth that is another one for CBT or CTB, whichever.

    5. All Republicans are evil and heartless; or is it heartless and evil CTB. But what to expect given item #1.

    6. All Republicans are super rich; you know like democrats Gates, Buffet, and Soros, most democrats in Wall Street Banks, and many democrats in the Senate.

    7. Republicans pay no taxes because they are all rich. Sounds good.
