I highly doubt the effects, either socially or politically, are taken into consideration by conservative justisces. The only consideration is what is constitutional. Since the basis for the Roe v. Wade was a lie and there was no actual injury it should be revisisted regardless of precidence.

The SC cannot determine that abortion is unconstitutional as it is not addressed in the consitution. Therefore any any legitimate decision they make can only invalidate R V. W and send it back to the states.

Isn't that the situation now? Aren't people tried for murder usually under a state law?

The Federal Government has no authority to determine what states do outside what is specifically mentioned in the constitution.

Dont be silly...if a state legalized murder, then the federal government would step in. I see no difference with abortion.

There are also federal laws against murder. But if a state made murder of people already born legal, there would legitimately be an outcry.

Well, then, AJ, you are going to have convince a whole lot of people in this country that abortion is murder. You believe it is, I believe it is, but most Americans don't believe it is.

You believe it is, but you say you will vote for someone who believes it should be legal. So how does a vote like that convince anyone that it is murder?

I believe in the power of the gospel to change people's hearts through the work of the Holy Spirit, not the power of politics.

As do I, but we are not talking about changing people's hearts. We are talking about changing laws.

I agree Pastor Larry, and I dont understand this way of thinking. Looks to me like a vote for a pro-choice/abortion candidate is condoning abortion itself.

How convenient. Do you believe in the power of the gospel to change the hearts of people who hunt wolves? How about the hearts of people who support the Iraq war?

Absolutely not. It is called, being more than a one issue voter. It is understanding that just because a candidate says they are against abortion to get votes, that they are going to do anything to stop it.

Exactly. We don't let rapists go free because we are waiting for God to change their hearts.

I for one am glad you aren't the one running.

You know maybe the Democrats would have had a better candidate maybe even already had a African- American in the White House if they hadn't aborted them.

Yet again, a one issue voter.

What did givengrace say to indicate she was a one issue voter?

I don't see how that says givengrace is a one issue voter. It seems to me that this poster merely made a statement about the effects of abortion on present generations, many of whom were killed in the pursuit of personal comfort and convenience.

I think you are reading too much into the statement. Givengrace may infact be a one issue voter (which is fine), but that statement doesn't show it .
